Early Warning

Security Beams

Security beams help detect movement before a person reaches the building. DFence Solutions checks alignment, visible condition, placement risks, obstructions, and client-reported trigger concerns.

Technician aligning outdoor security beams and perimeter sensors

Why it matters

Beams provide early warning, but poor alignment, blocked lines of sight, dead zones, unstable mounting, or damaged sensors can cause false alarms or missed movement. Their value depends on positioning and reliability.

How DFence assesses it

The technician checks beam placement, line of sight, mounting condition, alignment concerns, vegetation or object obstruction, obvious damage, wiring concerns, and the client’s report of false or missed triggers.

When to call

Call when beams trigger randomly, fail to trigger, appear misaligned, are blocked by growth or stored items, were damaged during gardening or renovations, or need inspection for a report.

What you receive

Clients receive documented beam condition, placement observations, obstruction risks, relevant photos, and practical recommendations for alignment, relocation, repair, or further testing.
